Trail Time + Hot Showers: Why Glampacking Is the Best of Both Worlds

Trail Time + Hot Showers: Why Glampacking Is the Best of Both Worlds

What is Glampacking?

What is Glampacking you ask? Glampacking is the best of both worlds: You get to hike to
beautiful views, summit mountain tops, and dip your toes in waterfalls…But, you don’t have to
sleep in a tent or carry a heavy pack.

"We're not slack-packing. We're GLAM-packing!"

Glampacking is adventuring during the day, yet coming back to all your creature comforts at night. Afterall, there’s something so special about a hot shower, dinner prepared by your guides with fresh ingredients, and a nice glass of wine by a cozy fire after a great day outdoors.

People typically refer to this type of hiking as “slackpacking,” but after guiding a fun group of ladies in North Carolina this year, they decided they didn’t like the term “slacking” associated with any kind of hiking. It implies a negative undertone they said. They had a very valid point, so I challenged them to come up with a new term to describe what we were doing that week. By the end of the trip, they unanimously decided to call our style of hiking “Glampacking” and it stuck. I loved the term, so I ran with it.

An All-Inclusive Retreat

So many women are spread thin with the high-paced world we live in. They are moms, wives, employees, bosses, friends, neighbors, and let’s face it, we wear multiple hats. When it comes to planning an adventure vacation, most women just don’t have the time to do the research and plan. Selecting the right trail, the appropriate terrain, and where to stay can be challenging.

Moms, wives, friends, co-workers, and hikers... we wear many hats!

That’s where myself and my co-guide, Nicole (Droplet), come in. We do all the planning, logistics, food, safety, and fun. That way, our clients only have to focus on staying active leading up to their trip, not all of the time-consuming logistics. When our clients arrive, they simply live in the moment on their adventure vacation in a safe and supportive women’s only environment. I truly believe our Glampacking trips offer the perfect balance of adventure time and time to unwind and relax while in town. Let us show you the magic of Glampacking!
